Enhancing Security in i-Attend Self Check-In process

To strengthen security and streamline your experience, we’ve introduced a new feature in i-Attend that allows automatic resetting of your Event PIN and Self Check-in QR Code.

Here’s how it works:

  1. When creating your event, set your Auto Reset for Event PIN/QR Code to Yes or No. If you enable this function, your event’s QR code or PIN code will reset automatically every 10 seconds.
  2. QR Code auto-updates: When the PIN resets, the event’s QR Code will also regenerate automatically.
  3. Display the QR Code: Log into the Capture app as an administrator preferably using larger screen device (iPad or Tablet).
    Navigate to the event and tap the QR code image to display the latest.
    Instruct attendees to scan the QR code using the Self Check-In app.

  1. Reduced fraud risk: Frequent PIN/QR Code updates minimize unauthorized access.
  2. Greater control: Adjust the reset interval to match your event’s security needs.
  3. Simplified process: No manual PIN or QR Code updates required—everything happens automatically.

Important: Update your devices with the latest versions of the i-Attend Capture and Self Check-in apps by downloading the latest updates from your app store.

Managing multiple events in the same room has never been easier! With the new Kiosk Mode by Room, events scheduled back-to-back in a room will now automatically transition in sequence. No more manual switching between events in kiosk mode—just set it up, and let the app handle the rest.

Use the Kiosk mode for unattended Attendance Capture using iPads or Tablets.

2. Notification and Confirmation Settings

We’ve added more flexibility to how you manage scans. You can now customize Notification and Confirmation preferences directly from the Settings page, giving you greater control over your attendance tracking process.

3. Enhanced Offline Usage

We understand that connectivity can sometimes be a challenge. That’s why we’ve improved our offline usage capabilities. While you’ll still need an internet connection to download your data initially to your mobile device, you can now capture attendance offline and upload the data once you’re back online. Perfect for events in areas with limited connectivity!
